I met Karin Rosenthal through a friend here in Boston. She often sends email announcing upcoming shows and photography exhibitions. Recently, Karin sent an email containing a photograph that she took back when she and presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, were students at Wellesley College.
Karin’s Photo of Hillary Clinton Featured in UK Guardian
“Hello! I am pleased to tell you that The Guardian in London just published the photo I took of Hillary Clinton at Wellesley back in 1967. It is printed in a weekend magazine feature called That’s Me in the Picture, a two-page spread.
They asked me to recommend someone in the photo to interview and I referred them to one of my classmates, Ann Rosewater. Ann was one of the organizers of the event and quite friendly and influential with Hillary.” Karin Rosenthal
Karin’s Photo of Hillary Clinton Shared at the Democratic Convention
Karin was delighted to share the following about her famous photograph:
“Last night at the Democratic Convention, a photograph I took of Hillary Clinton when she was a sophomore at Wellesley, and I was photo editor of the Wellesley News, was shown in the video preceding her acceptance speech. The image is also on her website. There has been talk with the campaign about making it into a poster.
Note how she captivated the audience at the young age of 19! I feel proud and honored to have had my photograph included in this week’s historic nomination.” Karin Rosenthal

When Hillary Met Bill
Yes, everyone was young once. I definitely would have hung out with those two. What a history between them. How funny to look at this photo. They look so cool! Just blending in with everyone else. Yet, they matured into people who influence the world.
And speaking of maturing, I hate to add the name Monica Lewinsky to this page, but I did a post on her and she was influential in her own right. At first, I didn’t understand why Hillary stuck with Bill. But she is loyal. She stuck to her marriage vows…for better or worse, she held onto her focus and mission. Her purpose shines through.
Meanwhile, Monica is busy with her own campaign. Monica Lewinski on Cyberbullying: Public Shaming As A Bloodsport Has To Stop
