How many blog directories have you submitted your blog to? Submitting blogs to blog directories is rather boring, but brings great results. As a new blogger, I spent several hours researching directories, submitting my blog and reading other blogs. It helped me to get the lay of the land in the blogosphere.
One of my favorites is BlogCatalog.
This is taken directly from BlogCatalog’s website “From breaking news, to personal blogs, we are the largest user submitted blog directory the world has ever seen.”
Seriously, if your blog isn’t listed on BlogCatalog, make that your next move to help you build traffic and credibility for your blog.
Besides that, I’m a featured author for BlogCatalog.
Each week, I feature a tip from Yaro Starak’s Blog Profits Blueprint. This week’s tip is about submitting blogs to blog directories:
3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!
Your turn! What’s been your experience submitting your links to blog directories? What were your specific goals? Are you meeting them? Which ones are your favorites?
