Welcome to the UFC, Megan Anderson!
Cris “Cyborg” Justino will face the willowy Megan Anderson. Making her UFC debut, Megan, who stands six feet tall and fights at 145, is the bravest woman in the UFC.
Are you kidding me? Having to deal with octagon jitters and that adrenaline dump, when you’re standing in front of Cyborg? I shudder to think about it.

135ers full of excuses for not facing Cyborg
Please stop using previous history of getting popped for steroid-usage as your excuse not to fight Cris Cyborg. I’m so bored with that conversation.
Because of that line of thinking, we may never see Ronda Rousey vs Cris Cyborg. I think that’s wishful thinking, along the lines of Gina Carano making her long-awaited comeback.
Fighters like Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie moved up to 145. For a brief moment, Germaine was a UFC champion. Now, she’s willing to just “walk away”, get stripped of her hard-won belt — for her principles?
Sorry, Germaine. I’m not buying it
Germaine basically said, “I don’t care”, and ended up losing her position as UFC Champion of the 145lbs. female division. As a power play — designed to transition her potential opponent Cyborg, into chasing her down — playing hard-to-get didn’t work.
And now, Germaine is happy to fight with the 135ers, women who play by the rules and don’t use steroids.
Cyborg should be known as G.O.A.T.
Germaine’s nonchalance stopped fans from seeing Cyborg face a staunch and sturdy UFC champion. If you can fight at 145, then as a female UFC fighter, make that move. Jump in and fight Cyborg. Stop using steroids as the reason for not facing the greatest of all time female fighter.
Fellow 135er Cat Zingano said she’d love to fight Cyborg.
Cyborg vs Guys Fighting at 135
And yes, I believe that if a weird exhibition fight between a male and a female fighter ever happened, guys who fight at 135 would be waking up from nightmares wondering, “…but what if Cyborg crushes me? Oh, the shame!”
Guys who fight at 145 might have more courage. But hey, Cyborg is a woman. You have to give her a weight advantage.
On a video, UFC Fighter Kevin Lee says, “She’s a beast…I’ve had the pleasure of training with Cyborg. She hits just as hard as any man. She works just as hard as any man. She has my respect.”
When asked about Cyborg fighting the worst guy in the 125 division, Kevin said, “She would beat him to a pulp. She would stomp him.”
I felt sad that Kevin Lee noted Cyborg’s fight IQ is low because she crushes her opponents so quickly. But that is exactly why, the women in the UFC 135lbs. division need to take a risk and face the beast.
Fans deserve to see Cyborg get better. As she improves, all the fighters she faces will improve too.
